missingWrote a review on 03 Decvegetarian buffetmorning prayersthin walls
Dinner served in your room was vegetarian and buffet style, showcasing an array of traditional Japanese foods. Morning prayers, along with chanting, offered a unique and nice experience, immersing guests in the temple lifestyle.
The walls are thin. Rooms lack toilets and sinks, requiring late-night trips to shared bathrooms, which can be quite chilly. Pillow comfort left a bit to be desired, which may detract from the authentic experience of staying in a temple.

Enjoyed it, I didn't want to leave and I would be happy to recommend this hotel. Thank you very much everyone for a really nice stay during winter. Had good sleep at the japanese-style room. I got essential facilities, like a safe box, central heating, and a TV set.

The property was in the centre of the city. The place had a family atmosphere.

The atmosphere was magical, but the food was not tasty at all, barely made it through dinner. The receptionist hardly helped, and i expected a warm welcome or some complimentary tea upon arrival. It's the little things, you know? Almost gave a good review, but just couldn't get past those disappointments.

morning prayer participation, spacious room with two heaters, beautiful garden views
Shared bathroom access late at night could be a chilly trek!!! The onsen could use a bit more maintenance to elevate the experience!!! Unattended Zen garden definitely needs a little TLC!!!

Participating in the morning prayer was nice, and we really enjoyed the vegetarian meals that were served in our room. The location is great, just a short walk to beautiful temples and a serene garden to explore.
One downside was the shared bathroom situation at night. It could get pretty chilly walking there. Be prepared for that!

The vegetarian meals were a highlight, with dinner served in a beautifully arranged manner that showcased traditional Japanese cuisine. Participating in the morning prayer ceremony was nice. The shared bathroom arrangement felt uncomfortable during the cold night, requiring a chilly trek each time. While the temple's ambiance was serene, the maintenance of the Zen garden seemed neglected, detracting slightly from the overall beauty.

The room was spacious and had both a kerosene heater and a safe, making us feel quite comfortable during the cold nights. I loved unwinding in the onsen and taking a leisurely stroll in the serene garden. Just a heads up, the shared bathroom can be a bit chilly at night, so be ready for that! 🌸

The room was great-sized and had a bathtub. the location was perfect, just a pleasant stroll away from an ecclesiastic head temple. - the area was very nice, next to how to avoid 'touristy' costs, a temple that welcomes guests in quiet, basic rooms. - the food was good, with a huge variety of options.
